Principal
Matthew Bonsall is an accomplished writer with a reputation for delivering
first-rate results under tight deadlines.
He also delivers
dynamic workshops on effective writing and editing, with a special focus on
web writing.
He founded Bonsall Communications in 1998 after returning from the UK, where
he worked on Fleet Street as a journalist for Bridge News
covering
bond futures trading on
LIFFE. (Bridge News is now part of Reuters.) He
has also written mutual fund stories for The Globe and Mail.
His journalism experience helped to develop his crisp, efficient prose.
It also required Matthew to pinpoint the essence of a story quickly for his
readers—an essential skill for any communications project.
Financial writing is his specialty, but with over 10 years of communications
experience, Matthew is able to offer clients a wide variety of services. He
is at home providing everything from website content and newsletter copy, to
speeches and strategic communications plans.
In addition to his journalism skills, Matthew draws on a wealth of marketing
experience. His creative training has given him a lively and insightful
approach that appeals to consumers.
Matthew has a Master of Journalism from Carleton University,
and a
Bachelor of Arts in African Studies from the University of Toronto. He also holds a Canadian securities licence and a Canadian Investment Manager designation.
